Yes! Pretty Cure 5 the Movie: The Mirror Kingdom's Miraculous Adventure! (映画 Yes! プリキュア5 鏡の国のミラクル大冒険!?) is the 4th Pretty Cure movie produced by Toei Animation. It was released in Japanese cinemas on November 10th, 2007. The Blu-ray version of the movie was released on June 17th 2015.

The movie aired in Italy on Rai Due on November 7th, 2010, which was renamed as Yes! Pretty Cure 5 - Le Pretty Cure nel Regno degli Specchi (Yes! Pretty Cure 5 - The Pretty Cure in the Kingdom of Mirrors?)

Plot[]

The movie features the Cures going to the Mirror Kingdom in order to defeat Shadow, who claimed the crystals of the Mirror Kingdom. Shadow also wants to take the Dream Collet to grant their wish of world domination. However, when the girls meet Shadow, they are surprised by the villain recreating the crystals into Pretty Cures, who declare to be their opponents. In order to find and defeat Shadow, Pretty Cure has to defeat their doppelgängers first.

Synopsis[]

Hidarin and Migirin listen as Shadow tells them of the scheme to steal the Dream Collet to plunge the world into despair. Shadow then summons Dark Cure Dream.

Meanwhile, Nozomi asks the mirror if she is beautiful like in the Snow White fairy tale. This annoys Milk, who pushes her. Coco then tells Nozomi about Princess Land, an amusement park where you can dress up as a princess.

At Princess Land, the Cures dresses themselves up to fit the park's theme and starts behaving like princesses, which Rin doesn't like very much. While they have fun at the park, Dark Cure Dream hides in the shadows and waits to strike.

The group arrives at a maze with mirrors, and everyone keeps running into the mirrors as they try to find the way out. Komachi tells a scary story that the ninth image in the mirror will be an evil clone with the ability to leave the mirror. After listening to her story, Nozomi calls out to the others and they exit the maze. However, Coco and Nuts get pulled into the mirrors by their own evil copies (Hidarin and Migirin in disguise).

The fake Coco then appears in front of the girls, asking for the Dream Collet. Milk is about to give it to him when Nozomi protests that he can't be Coco. Hidarin and Migirin reveal their true forms and summon a Kowaina, so the girls transform into Cures. They fight and are able to defeat the Kowaina by combining their powers.

The Cures then take Hidarin and Migirin back to Natts House for questioning. Hidarin and Migirin tell them that Coco and Nuts are in the Mirror Kingdom, captured by Shadow.

The group enters the Mirror Kingdom, transformed and were ready to duel Shadow. However, Dark Pretty Cure 5 was already waiting for them and each of the Cures are separated into different worlds to fight their doppelgängers. The Cures barely manage to overpower and defeat their copies, but Cure Dream decides to spare Dark Cure Dream.

Coco and Nuts spot Shadow with the Dream Collet. They tell Shadow that its power is unusuable without collecting all the Pinkies. However, Shadow has already collected them using the mirrors. Only one was missing, which Cure Lemonade had captured in her Pinky Catch earlier.

The Cures fight Shadow. Shadow is about to kill Cure Dream but Dark Cure Dream saves her, dying in her place. Cure Dream is sad and angry that Shadow killed Dark Cure Dream, and performs Crystal Shoot. This seemingly defeats Shadow, until they transform into their final form. The Cures also power up into their super forms. They perform Five Explosion and the villain is defeated for good.

Everything is peaceful once again. Nozomi still thinks of Dark Cure Dream, but her friends cheer her up and she is happy to be with Coco.

Trivia[]

  • The movie is the first to feature evil versions of the Pretty Cure.
  • During a dialogue Nozomi and Coco had in the Mirror House, Coco has brown eyes but blue in the mirror and a small part of his hair is not present in the mirror.
  • In this movie, Cure Mint did not say: "The earth tremors of a young girl's anger, take this!" before saying her attack.
  • This is the first movie to introduce the Miracle Lights, most notably used during the film's climax. This became standard with nearly every Pretty Cure movie afterwards.
