"Slapstick! Miyuki's Mother's Day Challenge!!" (ドタバタ!みゆきの母の日大作戦!! Dotabata! Miyuki no Haha no hi no Daisakusen!!?) is the 15th episode of Smile Pretty Cure!, the 14th episode of Glitter Force, and the 404th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall. The English title is "Mother's Day Crunch".

Synopsis[]

Miyuki attempts to help her mother around the house while trying to come up with a good gift for Mothers Day. Eventually she learns from the others that presents can come in all shapes and sizes, as long as there is love behind it.

Summary[]

Miyuki is reading Snow White in the secret base when she notices the other girls making presents for Mother's Day. Miyuki realizes has completely forgotten to make anything for her own mother.

With no money to buy a present, Miyuki decides to help out with the chores. However, each time she ends up making a mess, such as putting salt in coffee, using the wrong detergent in the laundry machine, tripping on the vacuum, and accidentally allowing the futon to blow away in the wind.

Miyuki decides to make a present after all, taking advice from the other girls. Yayoi painted a portrait of her mother, Akane sewed her mother an apron (injuring her fingers in the process), Nao made a tissue cover, and Reika used her pottery skills to make a tea cup. Unfortunately, nobody can think what skill Miyuki might have.

Miyuki decides to make a bead necklace decorated with carnations, but is underwhelmed by the results. Candy tries to use the Star Decor to improve it, but Miyuki refuses, wanting to make it herself, and the Star Decor instead changes Candy's hairstyle. Yayoi suggests buying a greeting card to go with the necklace.

Meanwhile, Wolfrun sees people celebrating Mother's Day. Irritated by this, he creates a Bad End space and sucks Bad Energy from them. The girls are in town buying the greetings card, and quickly transform into Pretty Cure. Wolfrun uses a red nose to create an Akanbe from a carnation flower, and they fight.

During the battle, Candy accidentally drops the necklace Miyuki made for her mother. Wolfrun picks it up and makes fun of its poor quality. Cure Happy is saddened and concedes that he's right. Sunny tells Happy she's wrong, and steps forward to demand Wolfrun return the necklace. The girls recover the necklace and attack Wolfrun, saying that it's the thought that counts. Happy realizes that they're right, and that everyone who came to buy carnations feels the same way. The five fight with renewed vigor, and Cure Happy purifies the Akanbe with Happy Shower, receiving the Juice Decor.

Everything returns to normal, but Miyuki's necklace is broken. Just then she meets her mother, and gives her the present anyway. Despite the poor quality, she finds it a wonderful gift and puts it on. On the way home she thanks Miyuki for helping with the chores, since even if she failed, she was trying her best to help. The other mothers are shown to be appreciative of their gifts.
