Hibiki surrounded by mascots.

The movie starts off with Hibiki, Kanade and Hummy, walking in a shopping mall. Hummy gets excited when she sees a fashion show and runs on to the stage. Hibiki goes after her and meets up with Tsubomi, when she trips trying to grab Hummy. Other Cures are there too in the audience, and while watching Hibiki they begin to wonder if she too is a Pretty Cure, when suddenly, millions of mascots and fairies fall from the sky and turn part of the shopping mall into their world. The girls are surprised when they step outside to find parts of the Land of Sweets, Toys, and Clocks surrounding them, along with the Gardens of Clouds and Hope.

While the girls are shocked, some of them are excited and they run off to snack and play, while the fairies have fun hanging out together. Erika approaches Hibiki and Kanade, who remark on how strange everyone is, and she teasingly suggests they are "one of them" since they have a talking cat with them, but the girls play it off. Coco and Nuts are worried, and when several Miracle Lights fall from the opening, they are sure something is coming.

All Stars DX3 Everyone Poses

All Together! Pretty Cure All Stars!

Just then, a loud voice begins to speak, and several dark spheres rain down to reveal villains the various Cure recognize. They explain that they were revived by Lord Black Hole the incarnation of all the organizations they fought in the past, and after all the fairies from the other worlds run away in fright, the girls prepare to transform into Pretty Cure; only for the others to announce they plans to transform too, which stuns Hibiki and Kanade. Everyone transforms and after taking a moment to notice how many Pretty Cure there are, the villains explain that they are looking for the "Prism Flower" which is supposed to be the source of all good and if they destroy it, the earth will be destroyed too. The flower is beginning to weaken and destruction is beginning to occur around them. But before the Cures could do anything, they were transported to different dimensions by the villains' magic, and everyone is torn away from their teams.

Yellow Teams playing Super Whack-A-Mole.

In the desert, Melody discovers she has been put with the other lead Cures: Cure Black, Cure Bloom, Cure Dream, Cure Peach and Cure Blossom. Meanwhile, the Rhythm has landed with Cure White, Cure Egret, Cure Aqua, Cure Mint, Cure Berry and Cure Marine in a wreckage of ships at the ocean. The last group consists of Shiny Luminous, Cure Rouge, Cure Lemonade, Milky Rose, Cure Pine, Cure Passion, Cure Sunshine and Cure Moonlight who are in a giant board game. Together they are told to move six spaces, and they are given the task of scoring one-hundred points in a game of whack-a-mole.

The Lead Cure run away from several enemies until they are forced to defend themselves, but they become confused at Cure Black's plan. The same occurs with the Blue Cure as they come up with a plan to destroy the crystal to return everyone back, and without their Lead partners they get distracted and attacked again.

Meanwhile, back on Earth the citizens, friends, and family are very perplexed over what is going on. The Mascots attempt to patiently wait for the girls to return but they are attacked by Shadow, who stayed there. He uses his power to try to locate the Flower, but with some quick thinking the mascots jump onto the mirrors to block his view, followed by Chiffon, who transports the group some feet away. They quickly flee and Shadow chases after them.

The others finish their game with success and they are returned to the board game. But they struggle with the next round, along with the Lead and Blue Cure teams. However, the girls manage to overcome their hurdle as they remember their friends and how they must find them.

The Mascots are unable to run away from Shadow, so they unleash the Miracle Lights in order to drive him off. But this fails to work because they have become weakened, but as he attempts to grab a mirror shard from Lulun, the light reflects onto it temporarily blinding him. This gives the mascots an idea and they spread out to reflect the Miracle Lights on the mirrors, causing Shadow enough pain to rid of him. Their cheer is short-lived after it's revealed that with the Prism Flower weakening, if it was to entirely disappear then they would be forced to return to their world permanently. This causes them great distress but Coco calms everyone by pointing out that for now they must believe in Pretty Cure.

The Game team goes on to play baseball and compete in various contests against various enemies, ranging from dance to baking, karaoke, martial arts, befriending animals, and even studying. They are down to six spaces remaining, but the villains return to keep them from rolling the dice anymore and a fight breaks out. Meanwhile, the Blue team turn things around by making their villains freeze the water, giving them solid footing. The Lead Cure manage to discover an exit door to return home, while the game Cure manage to trick get their villains to drop the dice and Shiny Luminous uses her magic to freeze them in place and make them land on the "lose a turn" space, then Lemonade goes on to roll a six, allowing them to leave. The Blue Cure break the witch's crystal to return home as well.

Mai realized the transformation is gone.

Returning to Earth the Cure reunite with their teams to finish off the remaining villains. But just then the sky begins to turn red, and Lord Black Hole has arrived. He blasts the girls and they lose their transformation devices, causing them to return to normal; without them they can't transform, at this rate the world will be in big trouble.

The Prism Flower appears in a radiant glow, and Black Hole begins to absorb it, leaving them to watch in dismay. Tsubomi tries to encourage everyone to keep trying but the girls feel helpless, until Nuts reveals that there is a way to stop it, and he brings up with the fairies already know; that by absorbing what remains of the flower they can transform again, at the cost of them having to return to their world due to the passage between them being gone. The girls are very saddened as the mascots begin to cry, refusing to accept this. Hibiki begins to cry and embraces Hummy after she remembers earlier, when she told her off for being so troublesome, and Kurumi clings to Karen after transforming back into Milk.

Everyone feels saddened until Hibiki insists they must press on. The others convinced her to keep going earlier, and now they must do so for the sake of protecting everyone by believing in themselves. Even if they can't see their mascots again, they will stay in their hearts.

"Everyone, Thank You!"

Everyone gets together to plead with the Prism Flower to help them, and suddenly, millions of miracle light sticks appear. Around the world everyone helps them to shine, reviving the Pretty Cures' powers. Everyone transforms into an upgraded version of themselves and they combine their attacks to use on Lord Black Hole. After a big struggle, they defeat him and have managed to protect the world from harm once more. However, the girls must still come to terms with the loss of their mascots, and they are very sad as they watch them depart.

Some time later at the Tree of Hearts, the mascots make an important discovery.

"Everyone! Even now! And from now on! For Very Many, Thank You!"

The girls were having a gathering in the park when suddenly, the mascots appear. The girls are very surprised as Chypre explains that the Tree of Hearts had bloomed a new Prism Flower, which means the passage is still in tact, meaning they can come and go as they please once more.

With everyone in such high spirits they begin to celebrate and have fun during their planned outing.

Trivia

  • This is the first Pretty Cure movie to have part of the film edited out because of the tsunami scene or scenes that were reminiscent of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear disasters.
  • Despite being from another world themselves, Hikari and Setsuna were able to stay on Earth after the fairies/mascots returned to their original worlds when the Prism Flower was destroyed, including Kurumi (even though she is a Cure-like warrior).
    • Although the Heartcatch fairies did not come from another world, they still have to be separate from their partners after the Prism Flower loses its power.
  • Similar to Pretty Cure All Stars DX, every monster from every season return and attack the Cures.
  • This is the final movie where Saki and Mai switch into their secondary Pretty Cure alter egos Cure Bright and Cure Windy respectively.
  • This is the final movie where all Pretty Cures and mascots are given speaking lines. In all the future All Stars movies, only certain characters will be given speaking lines because of the huge amount of Pretty Cures that have appeared in the series.
