Ilkubo (イルクーボ Irukūbo?) is by far the most powerful of the five and the Evil King's right-hand man. He can block the Marble Screw attack with just his abilities, as well as any close combat attacks by Pretty Cure, but his fortitude is not as high as Gekidrago, as a direct hit will still hurt him. Ilkubo can also absorb energy from the Garden of Rainbows. He first appeared in the Garden of Rainbows in episode 19, but did not start seriously fighting the girls until later. He is defeatedFwPC24 but made a brief comeback in which he battles Pretty Cure and takes them to the Dotsuku Zone in a far more monstrous and powerful formFwPC25. He carries the purple Prism Stone.
Appearance
Ilkubo is a tall, pale grey figure with pointed ears and slanted eyes. He has no visible sign of hair on his face or head. His attire is a black outfit beneath a long white robe.
When Ilkubo returns he is shown to be a large, indigo and black creature with slanted red eyes and his robe - now ripped up and shredded.
His final form is that of a tall, muscular silver creature with a completely different face. His red eyes remain and he gains a new mouth and facial markings to match those on the side of his chest.
History
- He first appears in episode 4, making a cameo and scolding Kiriya and Gekidrago for making fun of Pisard, whilst still reminding Pisard that the Evil King is counting on him.
Trivia
- He is the only member of the Dotsuku Zone who prefers to fight Pretty Cure without the use of a Zakenna. He only uses 3 in the entirety of his time in the series, all of which appear in episode 22. Despite this, he has summoned more than Kiriya, who never did summon any (to our knowledge.)
- His first form would later be the inspiration for Baldez's design, as Baldez also had a tall stature, pointed ears, the same shape for his eyes, and green tinted skin.
- He is the first general class enemy not to be destroyed by Pretty Cure. Although he was defeated by them in episode 24, he was revived in the next episode by the Evil King and gained a much stronger form. He almost destroyed Pretty Cure, however he became too reckless, almost destroying the Prism Stones in the process, and as a result, the Evil King destroys him using his energy to absorb Ilkubo's power.
