A Pretty Cure insignia is a symbol or emblem that represents a specific Pretty Cure team. Every Pretty Cure season has an insignia or symbol on various parts of their outfits, whether it be on their little purses or bags in which they keep their transformation items, or, in some seasons, such as Smile Pretty Cure! and Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!, the symbol is featured on their brooches.
Futari wa Pretty Cure
The insignia on the Card Communes
The insignia for Futari wa Pretty Cure and Max Heart includes a basic icon of a heart with two curves and a crown-looking part that flips upside down. This insignia is seen on almost every item, such as the Cures' pouches for their Card Communes or Heartful Communes. The shape of the insignia resembles the shape of the Prism Hopish, one of the most important items in Futari wa Pretty Cure.
The insignia can also be spotted in the beginning of their Nagisa and Honoka's transformation in Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart. It appears in golden color right before their clothes start to appear.
In Max Heart, the Heartful Communes feature a different emblem that resembles the original, but with a flipped heart beneath the top one.
Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star
The insignia of Splash Star
Splash Star's insignia consists of a heart with wings beneath it and a smaller, gem heart in the center. The gem is colored based on which Cure it belong to: pink for Hyuuga Saki and blue for Mishou Mai.
Yes! Pretty Cure 5
The insignia seen on the Dream Collet
The Pretty Cure Insignia of Yes! Pretty Cure 5 is a butterfly with a heart in the center, and on each corner of the wings are two dots on the upper wings, and two dots below wings.
In the sequel, the symbol changes to a rose shaped insignia with a butterfly attached to it. The insignia was first seen on the Rose Pact.
Fresh Pretty Cure!
Fresh Pretty Cure!'s insignia
The Fresh Pretty Cure insignia is a four-leaf clover with a four point star in the middle and a musical clef-like symbol similar to the letter "P".
The symbol is worn on the sides of their chest, in a similar fashion to a button or badge.
Heartcatch Pretty Cure!
The insignia on a Heart Seed
The Heartcatch Pretty Cure! insignia is a heart encased in a curvy outline. On the upper part of the outline are four glowing dots in each side of heart.
The Heartcatch insignia is worn by the Cures as broaches on their bows, with the exception of Cure Moonlight, who wears hers on the indigo rose that adorns the side of her chest. It is also visible on Heart Seeds.
The insignia can also be seen glowing and unleashing light every time the Cures perform certain attacks, such as Pink Forte Wave, Blue Forte Wave, and Gold Forte Burst. It was also shown before Cure Moonlight performed Silver Forte Wave in one episode.
Suite Pretty Cure♪
The Suite Pretty Cure♪ insignia during Passionato Harmony
The Suite Pretty Cure♪'s insignia consists of a giant treble clef inside a heart. In the anime, the insignia usually appears golden colored, during the girls' transformation or during their group attacks, like Passionato Harmony and Music Rondo Super Quartet.
The clef can also be found on several items in Suite Pretty Cure♪; it can be seen on Cure Beat's Love Guitar Rod, as well as on the Healing Chest.
Smile Pretty Cure!
The insignia of Smile Pretty Cure! team during the transformation to Princess Form
The Smile Pretty Cure! insignia is a giant heart on top of what appears to be a crown and a shape going around the entire crown, similar to the letter "P". As seen in the logo, the crown also includes five jewels. The heart shaped one is in the middle of the crown to represent the leader cure, Cure Happy, while the other is 4 circles, which this heart and 4 circles was made to represent the five Smile Cures.
The insignia also appears on the Cure Decors.
Doki Doki! Pretty Cure
Doki Doki! Pretty Cure's insignia
The Doki Doki! Pretty Cure insignia is a wing shaped bow and arrow with a heart-shaped tip and also a heart outline and a heart at the end of arrow.
The symbol is also shown on the Cures' transformation Cure Lovead.
Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!
The insignia of Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!
The insignia of Happiness Charge Pretty Cure! consists of a big heart with a smaller heart and a four-point star inside of it with 6 small circles and 5 four point stars. On top of the big heart, there is a small diamond attached, and on the bottom is bow.
The symbol is worn as a brooch for all four of this season's Cures. Cure Fortune also has the insignia on her ring.
Go! Princess Pretty Cure
The insignia seen during the Trinity Explosion
The Go! Princess Pretty Cure insignia is a crown made up of heart-shaped arches with another heart inside the front and another on top. At the bottom are five circles.
The insignia can be found on their brooches. They form the insignia during their Trinity Lumiere and Trinity Explosion attacks. Additionally the four Cures wear crowns similarly shaped to the insignia in their Mode Elegant Premium forms.
Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!
The insignia appears as Mirai and Riko join hands
The insignia of Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! consists of a witch hat with a thick line beneath it connecting a star and heart.
The insignia can be seen when Mirai and Riko grab each other's hand during "Miracle・Magical・Jewelryle!", in all four styles. It can also be seen on Mofurun's bowtie without any Linkle Stones.
KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode
The insignia on the Sweets Pact
The insignia of KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode displays a cake on a plate with a "P", for "Pretty Cure", at the top of it. The "P" is placed on a big star. Two stars and three diamonds surround the cake.
The insignia can be seen on the cover of the Sweets Pact. The insignia is placed on a golden circle at the very top of it. The insignia is surrounded by stars and circles.
HUGtto! Pretty Cure
The insignia shown at the PreHeart's carry case
The insignia of HUGtto! Pretty Cure consists of a large heart curled to resemble a ribbon represent embrace, with a smaller heart on top of it and a smaller, curled hear inside resembling a bow. Inside of this is a very tiny heart with tiny wing-like shapes.
In HUGtto! Pretty Cure, the insignia can be found on several items which the Cures can use in the season. For example, it is seen on the PreHeart, the Melody Swords and the Twin Love Guitar.
Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure
The insignia shown on the Star Color Pendant
The insignia of Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure resembles a shooting star: It consists of a five pointed star placed on a swirl that resembles the tail of a shooting star. The tail has overall three parts of which the outer ones are darker than the one in the center. The big star shows a cursive written "P" as well as a small star right next to the upper part of the P. Additionally, two, four pointed stars, can be seen above and underneath the tail of the shooting star respectively.
In Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure, the insignia can be seen on the Star Color Pendant as well as the Cures' pouch in which they carry their Star Color Pens and the Rhythm Scopes, which are seen in both endings and occasionally appeared in the show. It is also seen on the Twinkle Stick and the Rainbow Perfume.
Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure
The insignia of Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure resembles a stethoscope. The head set resembles a heart, with the tubing looking like an EKG, and its chest piece being shaped as a heart. It is surrounded by sparkles. It only appears in Miracle Leap.
Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure
The insignia on the Tropical Pact
The insignia of Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure consists of a scallop shell with hearts on the top of its ridges, lines of dots under the hearts, and a big bow with a star in the middle on its hinge. The insignia can also be seen on the cover of the Tropical Pact.
Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure
The insignia of Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure displays of a big wreath with hearts on the top and sides. The center of the wreath contains a fork and spoon tied with a big bow with a daisy flower and heart in the middle.
Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure
The insignia during Majestic Halation
The insignia of Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure consists of a sphere with a four-point star in the middle and a pair of wings underneath it. The left feather has a point at the end of it similar to that of a pen.
Wonderful Pretty Cure!
The insignia of Wonderful Pretty Cure! is a pair of two folded ribbons that form a heart shape with a ribbon tail that folds down at the end. In the center of the ribbons, there's a big bow with a crystal heart in the middle. This insignia can be found on the cover of the Wonderful Pact, Wonderful Pact's carry case, and on the Friendly Tact.
Trivia
- Only the Smile and Go! Princess Pretty Cure have crowns as part of their insignia while the other Pretty Cure series usually use a heart as their symbol.
- The insignias of Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode, Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure and Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure are the only insignias of the Pretty Cure franchise to not include any hearts.
- The logos of Suite, Smile, Doki Doki and Go! Princess Pretty Cure also feature their Pretty Cure insignias.
