Kasugano Maria (春日野マリア Kasugano Maria^?) is Kasugano Urara's late mother, Kasugano Heizou’s late daughter, and Kasugano Michel's late wife.

Maria was a youthful looking adult woman with long, thick brown hair.

Personality[]

When she was alive, Maria was a kind and gentle lady. She was also a very talented cook.

Relationships[]

Kasugano Urara: Her daughter. Urara loves and respects her mother very much. Urara even tried to make Maria's curry recipe in episode 19^YPC519.
Kasugano Michel: Her husband. Since Maria died a decade before the story of Yes! 5 began, the description of their relationship is unknown. However, Michel still misses her dearly after her passing.

History[]

She died when Urara was little so she's only ever seen in flashbacks. She was an actress just like her daughter. Her death is the inspiration that drives Urara, who always remembers her, to become an actress.

Maria is the first character in the franchise without a voice actor.
She shares the same given name with Hojo Maria from Suite Pretty Cure♪, Hikawa Maria from Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!, and Saotome Maria from Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure.
Until now, the cause behind her death has never been explained or mentioned.
She is the second mother in the franchise known to have retained her surname after marrying rather than taking on her husband's surname, following Yukishiro Aya, and followed by Momozono Ayumi, Amanogawa Stella, Amamiya Kaede, and Sawaizumi Nao.
